Reservations and Payment

When booking your holiday directly with us (Explore Uganda Safaris), indicate your own specialized itinerary, intended date of arrival and departure, number of people traveling in your party, preferred sleeping arrangements/accommodation – this will help us provide you with a tour program to your satisfaction. Gorilla tracking generally requires a minimum of 12 weeks advance reservation. Children under 12 years are not allowed to trek chimpanzees and those under 15 years are not allowed to track the gorillas.

You will be required to make a 50% deposit 10 weeks before the intended departure date of the tour or at the time of booking, and the balance settled 30 days prior to commencement of the tour. Explore Uganda Safaris will receipt your money, thereby confirming your safari. If a reservation is made within 30 days of departure, then you will be required to pay for the safari in full at the time of confirmation.

All prices are quoted in US dollars and may be paid in cash, or traveler’s cheques or by telegraphic transfer to our account.

Cancellation and Refunds
Full refunds will be effected, provided cancellation are made in writing 60 days prior to commencement of safari, less cancellation fees levied by hotels, lodges and banks. Generally there is a 50% charge on cancellations made 14-35 days to commencement of the tour, 75% charge on cancellations made 2 weeks before commencement of the tour, and cancellations made 48 hours to commencement of the tour will attract 100% charge. We reserve the right to deduct all expenses incurred from any money paid. Please be advised that Gorilla permits are non-refundable.

Alteration of Tour
Explore Uganda Safaris reserves the right to alter the itinerary/arrangement, or to cancel the operation of any scheduled tour should conditions necessitate so. Likewise, it also reserves the right to decline or accept any member of a tour. Please be advise that failure to join a tour, join it after departure, or leave prior to completion, does not attract any refunds.

Viewing Animals
It is a privilege to see animals in their natural habitat, however kindly note/be advised that there are no guarantees by us that you will see these animals. Take a photograph and leave only your footprints.
